Preventative Focused, Hands On, In Home Services
The Homemaker Program has several readily identifiable goals. First, children will be safe and well cared for within their own families, who have the training and resources to meet their children’s individual needs. Weekly Homemaker contact with families, strengths-based assessment of needs, comprehensive training and support are the keys to our successful services. The Homemaker Program aims at strengthening the family in order to promote placement prevention.
Homemakers develop positive working relationships with their assigned families; they provide assistance, guidance, and feedback according to individual needs. The mission of our program is to organize and support this process as well as provide additional resources to enhance and promote success.
The Homemaker Services Program at Family Care for Children & Youth, Inc. grew from our commitment to providing comprehensive care to children and families entrusted to us. The Homemaker Services Program is a prevention focused, in-home service that empowers families to learn necessary skills to be a stable family unit or to help a family get the child back in their care.
